You can listen to the music in different ways:

  1. with staff-notation
NoteWorthy Viewer (2.5.6a) in which you can set tempo for play-back and pause and start the music
where you want. You can download the program by clicking the picture next
to this text. After the installation of the program you click on the square picture left in the column.

Then you choose "Open". You can save the file on your computer by clicking with the right mouse
button and "Save as ..." in the menu that appears.
You can use the Mute option in the Tools menu to mute staves so that only your own staff sounds.
Please click here for a preview.

To play MIDI files in musical notation, there are two good programs to use.
You'll find the midi files by clicking the icons on the right.

In the Melody-player you can change the volume for each staff, change its tempo and repeat parts of the music. The text is even "pronounced". You also can make a list of the files you'll use.
You can download by clicking the picture next to this text.
To select the language for the program, click here.

The Notation-player shows the staff-notation, which you can download by clicking the picture next to this text. With this player you can repeat parts of the music easily.

  2. without staff-notation
The midi-files can be played with the Mediaplayer from Windows. Click the right picture in the column to play the file.
The midi-files can also be played with vanBasco's karaoke player, the text is shown while playing the file. You can change tempo and scroll back and forward to rehearse a specific part of the music.
You can also click a little button to make the staff you wish to sound louder.
Click on the picture to download the player.

The program NoteWorthy Composer, with which the "koorpartijen" are made, you'll find on  http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/. You can use the evaluation to play the music-files.
You'll find there also a link to NWC Scriptorium with a big catalogue of music made with NoteWorthy Composer

In connection with questions/remarks:

  • I can not play different files with the Viewer
If you install version 2.5 you can back all files. Click here to download.

  • NWC25STDA.TTF not found
After installing the new viewer I get the message that NWC25STDA.TTF not found.
You can then do the following:
    For Windows 7:

In the Program Files (x86)/Noteworthy Software/NoteWorthy Composer 2 Viewer double click the file NWC25STDA and in the next window click on 'Install'.
    For Windows XP:
Copy the file NWC25STDA.TTF from the folder
    Program Files/Noteworthy Software/NoteWorthy Composer 2 Viewer to Windows/Fonts.

  • I can hear nothing, while the musicfile is playing.
Open de volume window by right clicking the symbol at the bottom of your screen
    and click "open"
This picture below shows the Dutch version, but probably you'll understand it.

Take the slide below SW-synthesizer at the top and remove the

  • Can I use the program on an Apple computer or MacBook?
The program NoteWorthy can not be used on an Apple computer or MacBook. However, you can use the Melody Player with the midi-files.

  • Can the files put on CD to play-back it in the car?
With the program SynthFont you can convert the midi-files to wav of mp3, which can be burned on a CD.
You can find the program on http://www.synthfont.com

  • In the last NoteWorthy Viewer are no longer measure numbers. Where have they gone?
In the last version the measure numbers are in the status bar at the bottom right behind the word 'Bar'.

  • Can the choral music we rehearse also be put on the site?
Send an email with this question to the address below.
